I was recently laid off from my position at Oracle during the early morning layoffs at 6 AM. It was a shock to receive the news, and I found out that the severance package offered has a cap of only 26 weeks. To make matters worse, any unvested stock that I had is now canceled, which adds to the financial strain. I'm trying to figure out my next steps and how to navigate this unexpected situation.
