I recently applied to 100 jobs without receiving a single interview, and I'm feeling lost in my job search. My background includes data analysis, market research, and compliance and risk within financial services. I started as a Data Analyst at a market research company and transitioned into compliance roles in banking, focusing on regulatory change management and risk assessments. Now, I'm trying to navigate the US financial services job market, but I'm struggling to find roles that align with my experience. I've targeted positions in compliance, operational risk, and governance, but I'm starting to think I might be applying to the wrong jobs or spreading myself too thin. I really need advice on what specific job titles I should be searching for. Given my skills in data analytics and compliance, are there roles that combine these areas that I might be missing? Should I focus more on compliance and risk roles, or explore business/data analyst positions? After 100 applications with no interviews, I realize I need to reassess my approach.
