I've been on a tough job search journey since March, sending out a total of 480 applications. Despite my efforts, I've only received one offer, which is part-time, requiring just 3-4 hours a day on a 6-month contract. I've gone through four rounds of interviews twice, only to be rejected at the final stage both times, and that really stings. It's frustrating because two years ago, I sent out about 60 applications and landed two offers relatively quickly with the same resume and in the same field. I feel like I haven't gotten worse at my job; in fact, I believe I'm still qualified. People keep suggesting I tweak my resume, but I genuinely don't think that's the issue. I'm starting to wonder if I just picked the wrong four months to be job hunting.
