Applied at Smoothie King for Unknown

I've been on the job hunt for over two years now, and it's been incredibly frustrating. I'm 17, turning 18 this Sunday, and I've applied to dozens of places in my area that supposedly hire teens. I've heard countless times from adults to try retail, fast food, or family restaurants, so I took their advice to heart. Just last Saturday, I went to several places: Publix, Dunkin', Smoothie King, a local Cold Stone, Subway, and even McDonald's. I was hopeful, but to my disappointment, none of them were hiring—except for Smoothie King, which initially seemed promising. When I got there, I was excited to fill out my availability, especially after overhearing some staff talk about a coworker who had stopped showing up. However, the next day, I received a notification saying they weren't moving forward with my application. It's disheartening to hear about all these 'always hiring' jobs when my experience has been the opposite. I've only managed to secure one interview throughout this entire process, and all I've heard is that they aren't hiring. I'm feeling really defeated and unsure of what to do next. I've created a resume, tried visiting places multiple times, and even called, but nothing seems to work. I'm seriously considering giving up.
