Weighing a New Job Offer Against My Current Role After 8 Years

I recently received a job offer that has me seriously considering my current position. I've been working at my job for almost 8 years, earning a base salary of $42k, and the health benefits have been pretty terrible. The new offer is for a base salary of $60k plus commission, which is a significant increase. I genuinely love my job and the work I do, and I will miss my coworkers, but the financial aspect is hard to ignore. My husband suggested I use this new offer as leverage to negotiate a better salary at my current job, but I’m hesitant. I've seen two out of three managers fire employees on the spot for trying to negotiate, so I’m not sure if that’s a risk I want to take. It’s a tough decision, balancing my love for my current role against the need for better pay and benefits.
