I have been working at a large OEM manufacturer for 2.5 years in an engineering IC role, which I initially saw as a short-term position. I made it clear when I took the job that I wanted to transition within two years due to my dissatisfaction with the company's commitment to my career growth. They funded my MBA, which I completed in Spring 2026, but I have been struggling to move up. I started applying for internal roles last October when I became eligible, but my previous manager, who resigned last month, denied my requests to interview for the first position I applied for. After that, the company announced layoffs and a hiring freeze, which made things even more challenging. From March to August, I applied to about 15 internal roles, got interviews for several, and made it to the final round for three, but I received no offers and only generic feedback. My interim manager has suggested that I wait a few years to pursue advancement. Recently, I found out I am 9 weeks pregnant and am due in April. I plan to keep this news private until January. However, I have an internal role that I applied for before my pregnancy that has reached out to me, expressing strong interest. This position is in a different area of the business and would allow me to utilize my MBA. I have the final round of interviews scheduled this week. The role is open because the current employee will be on maternity leave from January to April, and the hiring manager expects to manage the current account until then. I feel conflicted about pursuing this opportunity given my pregnancy and the timing of the maternity leave. I'm seeking advice on how to navigate this situation, especially regarding whether to disclose my pregnancy during the interview process.
