I recently found myself in a tricky situation regarding unemployment. I’m currently working a temporary job at a university, but I was informed that my employment will end next Friday. I've been in this role full-time since late May, after doing part-time training the week before. The good news is that I have a job offer that expires next week, and I’m also waiting to hear back about an interview process. However, regardless of which opportunity I pursue, I anticipate being unemployed for at least two weeks. I’m wondering if I would qualify for unemployment benefits during that time. It’s my first experience with unemployment, so I’m a bit unsure of the process.
