I work per diem at a hospital and have always maintained a good standing. Recently, I accepted a full-time position starting in November, which included some training shifts this month and orientation for the new role. However, two weeks ago, I received my first negative feedback ever, which I took well and quickly addressed. Just a few days ago, the hospital chain announced unexpected layoffs across the system. The next day, I was called into HR for an 'investigation' regarding my recent mistakes and performance issues. Now, I'm left wondering if I could be laid off, especially since I'm still technically a per diem employee without benefits. I'm uncertain about my future here.
