I'm feeling really discouraged about my job search in my small town. I struggle to meet the qualifications for most jobs I find online, and since I can't drive, I'm limited to walking distance opportunities. My work history is minimal; I only worked for about two months back in 2018/19 before I got sick and was let go. I’ve been battling depression for most of my life, which has made it hard for me to gain any meaningful experience. Currently, I live with my parents who support me, but I need to find a way to prove income to maintain my insurance for my heart and chest condition that requires ongoing treatment. The lack of transportation options, coupled with my anxiety when interacting with strangers, makes the job search feel impossible. I don’t have a degree or a resume, and I feel completely lost about where to look for work. It’s overwhelming, and I can’t shake the feeling that I’m the worst candidate for any job. I’m at a point where I don’t know what to do next.
