Excited and Anxious: Final Round for Dream Engineering Job Next Week

I just reached the final round for my dream job as an engineer at a tech company next week, and I'm feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. I've made it through the HR screen and a technical interview, which I believe went well since they called me back much sooner than expected. Now I'm one of two finalists, and the last round will be with the team lead and a director. HR mentioned that this round will focus less on technical skills and more on teamwork and future plans. As a researcher, I’m concerned because I suspect the other candidate has more industry experience than I do. I’ve prepared thoroughly, but now I feel a bit helpless as the outcome is out of my hands. I’m wondering if the quick callback is a good sign or if it doesn’t really mean much. I’d love to hear from anyone who has hired for R&D roles: how did you decide between a researcher and someone with industry experience in the final round? What do directors typically look for in a less technical interview? And how do you cope with the waiting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
