I recently interviewed for a position that I felt went exceptionally well. The panel was engaging, and I really connected with them. During the interview, the hiring manager asked about my current salary. I chose to be honest and shared my actual salary, which is significantly higher than the range for this new role. I emphasized that the role is a perfect fit for me and mentioned the growth potential and proximity to my home, so I downplayed the salary concern. However, I'm now worried that my honesty might make them think I'm a flight risk. I'm curious to hear thoughts from others on how to navigate this situation.
