I started a new job in May this year, and initially received positive feedback after my first month. However, after three months, I was informed that my probation period would be extended for two additional months due to concerns about my "culture fit," despite my technical competence. Just two weeks later, I was told that they would be letting me go after the extended period. Now, I have about 6-7 weeks left at the company, and I'm unsure how to approach my remaining time here. Should I maintain a professional demeanor and not burn any bridges, or should I just do the bare minimum since they’ve already decided to let me go? I'm also considering starting to apply for new jobs while still employed.
