I've noticed a lot of Latino day laborers in my area who seem to get work every day, and I'm considering joining them, even though I don't speak Spanish fluently—I'm more of a listener than a speaker. My experience is limited to some landscaping, like tree cutting and heavy lifting jobs. I'm feeling nervous about stepping out there and introducing myself, as I'm worried about being taken advantage of or looked down upon.
