I was recently terminated from my role as a content marketer at a marketing agency due to issues with my internet connection. During a weekly meeting, my manager asked me to share my screen, but it took me two minutes to get it set up. By the time I started speaking, he was already upset and asked me to leave the meeting. Shortly after, I received an email stating that I was terminated for not meeting the remote work requirements. It's frustrating because the company never provided any internet equipment and only paid me $140 a month, which barely covered my expenses. I feel incredibly unfairly treated and now find myself jobless and feeling hopeless.
