I've been actively job searching and noticed that I've had better luck with quick apply options compared to manual applications. I still apply manually through company websites when job boards redirect me there, but I often wonder if it's worth the effort. Despite filling out numerous manual applications over the years, I haven't received any responses. I keep applying in hopes that something will come through, but it can be disheartening when I don't see a return on the time I invest. I agree with others who say that a strong referral might matter more than the application method itself, but I try to do both when possible.
