I’m currently in a tough spot at my job in the Turkish medical tourism industry, where I work as a salesperson. I finally landed this position after a long job search, but now that my trial period is ending, I have a sinking feeling that I might get fired soon. The company has decided to downsize just two months after I was hired, and I find myself with hardly any work to do. They’re only keeping me around because they need someone who speaks Italian for the month of August. I spend most of my time sitting idle, drinking coffee, and waiting for tasks that never come. I’m feeling pretty anxious about my future here and could really use some advice on what to do next.
