Applied at Lowe's Hardware for Lead Cashier

I recently interviewed for a full-time Lead Cashier position at Lowe's Hardware last Friday afternoon. I felt really good about the interview and am eager to hear back. However, I'm currently facing some tough personal challenges, including being homeless and having to care for my cat. It's now Monday, and I know I probably won't hear back until later in the week, but I'm considering calling to check on the status of my application. I tend to get really anxious about these kinds of calls due to my autism, so I'm looking for advice on how to approach this without feeling too awkward. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
