I applied for an armed security position last Wednesday morning and received a call and email from the Senior Security Analyst the same day. It felt like a spontaneous interview, which I haven't experienced before. He seemed impressed with my background, especially since I have a BS in Criminal Justice and relevant experience. He provided me with a schedule overview, which is great because it’s a day shift—exactly what I wanted—and it comes with a significant pay increase compared to my current job. He mentioned that he would forward my information to HR, and I'm feeling about 90% confident that I got the job. However, I'm unsure if sending my info to HR is just a formality or if someone else in HR has the final decision. I want to reach out to him again to clarify this, but I'm worried about coming off as overly eager or annoying. I already sent a thank-you email on Friday, and he replied that HR would be in touch early this week. If anyone has advice on how to approach this situation without seeming too pushy, I would really appreciate it. This job would greatly improve my work-life balance and financial situation, so I want to make sure I handle this correctly. Thanks!
