I recently had an interview for a marketing position at a mid-sized tech company, and I received a rather unusual response from HR afterward. They thanked me for my time and mentioned that they were still in the process of evaluating candidates, but the tone felt a bit off. It seemed like they were trying to be polite, but it left me wondering if it was a standard rejection or if I was still in the running.
