I was laid off yesterday afternoon after nearly 4 years at my company in the learning and development department. I had a feeling this was coming, as I had survived several rounds of layoffs before, but being the only person in my function area made me realize I would likely be next on the list. The company has been struggling for a while now, and I had already started applying for jobs, even reaching the final round in one interview. Now that I have more time to focus on my job search, I'm trying to stay positive about the situation. I know it might be harder to maintain this outlook in a few months, but I'm hopeful. Wish me luck!
