I recently made the switch from the core sector to the tech industry, but I'm finding it incredibly challenging to land a job. I'm curious about the realities of the tech sector and how hard it is to secure a remote position. If I do manage to get a job, how long can I expect to survive layoffs, and what is the average duration of layoffs in this field? I'm also interested in the time and effort required, as well as the platforms that are most effective for finding my next tech job. Additionally, I'm wondering what kind of salary I can expect as a fresher or someone with two years of experience. I decided to transition into tech because I want to gain significant industry knowledge that will help me pursue entrepreneurship in the future. However, I'm starting to question whether this decision was misguided. I've heard that the tech job market is quite brutal right now, and it seems like I might need to broaden my search beyond just remote jobs. Some have suggested that I should consider applying back to my original core sector as well. The competition is fierce, especially with many experienced professionals entering the field and the current trend of companies reducing remote work options. I'm feeling a bit lost and uncertain about my next steps.
