I'm feeling really discouraged about my job search as I prepare to move across the country to Washington in two weeks. I have a 1099 position lined up, but the income isn't reliable, so I've been actively looking for part-time or even full-time work for over a month now. I've submitted more than a hundred applications and had over ten interviews, but unfortunately, I haven't received any job offers yet. It's starting to feel overwhelming, and I even faced rejection from Jamba Juice, which was disheartening. I'm a 21-year-old female with a BS in Psychology from Purdue University and have been working since I was 15. My experience mainly lies in customer service and working with children, so I've been applying to various roles in those fields, including customer service positions, office jobs, and before/after-school programs. I'm genuinely worried about my finances and the possibility of not being able to afford food when I move. Paying rent is a priority, but I'm starting to feel like I might have to sacrifice meals just to make ends meet. I could really use some encouragement or advice on how to improve my situation.
