I recently went through a job application process for a contract position that was supposed to end in October. I felt confident after acing the interviews and was told that as long as my police check came back clean, I would likely get the job. When the police check came back clear, I was excited. However, during the process, they asked me if I had a disability, and I answered honestly that I do. Since then, it's been two months without any communication from them. I’m starting to wonder if mentioning my disability affected their decision. I had thought that it was a myth that you shouldn't disclose a disability until after being hired, but now I'm not so sure. I'm feeling anxious about whether I should have kept that information to myself. I’ve heard mixed opinions on this, and I'm curious if others have faced similar situations.
