I'm feeling really lost in my internship search. I recently got fired from my last internship because my boss needed someone with a driving license, despite my strong performance. I had learned Power BI and SQL, which made me the go-to IT person on my team, and I speak English and German at a C1 level. I've also participated in two competitions and am part of a talent program at university. Since then, I've applied to around a hundred internships in my city but only got called for two interviews, both of which ended in rejection. I have 1.5 years of experience from a multinational car manufacturing company and another 0.5 years from volunteering. In my country, internships are meant for students, so it's not legal for someone without a degree to apply. Now that I'm in my fourth and final year, I'm confused because I see many candidates with less experience and language skills getting the positions I'm applying for. I'm really wondering what I'm doing wrong and would appreciate any advice.
