I recently reapplied for a position I had left just a month prior, following a recommendation from my former manager. I had taken FMLA leave and, unfortunately, couldn't return when it ended, which led me to submit my resignation while explaining my circumstances. After my situation improved, I reached out to my manager, who encouraged me to apply again and even asked me to send the job number. I waited about two weeks for a response, but ultimately I was rejected. My manager mentioned that the delay from HR likely influenced their decision and suggested that I should wait for about six months before trying again.
