I’m starting my new job next week, and I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nerves since this is my very first role. After graduating in March 2025, I spent over a year job hunting before finally landing this corporate position in April 2026, with my start date set for July. I’m anxious about what to expect on my first day, especially with my imposter syndrome kicking in. I worry that I might forget things since I’ve been out of school for a while. Although I’ve been trying to brush up on concepts, I had to put that on hold a few months ago because I was busy relocating and settling into a new state. I hope I can adapt quickly and prove to myself that I belong in this role.
