Feeling ghosted, I consulted an employment attorney who outlined my options: reach out again, potentially file for unemployment, or leave things as they are and risk being seen as having abandoned my job. I'm hesitant to take action that could damage my reputation in the local community, as this is a small business where the owners are well-known.
