It seems that if they consider you a top candidate, they want to know if they need to act quickly to secure you. I remember the last time I was asked that question, I received an offer within 24 hours of my final interview. On the flip side, I also heard a story from someone who interviewed for a role, went through the entire process, and still didn’t get the job. The hiring manager even reached out to them on LinkedIn for another position, but it ended with a rejection email again. It’s always surprising how these processes can unfold.
