I recently found myself in a bit of a pickle during my job search. After 6 years of experience in QA, I landed an interview for a Test Automation Engineer position that requires the ISTQB Advanced Level certification. In a moment of panic, I told the recruiter that I had the certification, even though I don't. Now they're asking for proof, and it turns out it's mandatory to move forward in the process. I can't help but laugh at how I got myself into this situation. Has anyone else ever been in a similar bind? I'm really not sure how to handle it.
