I’m currently a senior in college, set to graduate with a degree in Information Technology in the spring of 2026. Unfortunately, I haven’t had any internships or work experience in the IT field, which makes my job search quite challenging. I plan to spend the spring of 2027 obtaining certifications to bolster my resume and gain some knowledge in the field since I feel I lack practical skills despite my major. I’ve been applying for full-time positions, but I keep hearing that employers want candidates with experience, which puts me in a tough spot. I really want to avoid living with my parents indefinitely and aim to secure a good-paying job in the future. I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has faced similar challenges and how they managed to overcome them. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!
