Today, I had a phone call for a cleaning job that I initially thought I could handle. I spoke with the lady on the other end and everything seemed fine, but once we hung up, I felt overwhelmed and wanted to cry. It wasn't a panic or anxiety attack, but all my negative thoughts started flooding in at once. I was supposed to send my CV in response to her text, but I felt like a coward and didn't follow through. This is the second time I've experienced this kind of shutdown after a job call. I've been avoiding other calls as well, missing out on opportunities because of this overwhelming feeling.
