I've been unemployed for the last three months after my last working day on December 31, 2025. I started my job search in April 2026. My previous employer appreciated my work, and I received multiple recognitions, but unexpectedly, they let me go. I hold no grudges, especially since they compensated me well. Before losing my job, I felt secure in my position and my husband's job was also stable, so we decided to buy a property in Bangalore. Now, we're stuck paying an EMI of 70,000 per month on an under-construction property, along with a rent of 40,000 per month. This has made managing our expenses incredibly stressful, especially since I'm currently unemployed. Over the past four months, I've applied to hundreds of companies, sent countless cold DMs and emails, and updated my profiles on job portals like Naukri and Indeed, as well as others like Wellfound and Instahyre, but I've had no luck. I've not received a single call for an interview. There was one instance where an interview was scheduled, but just an hour before it was set to happen, I was informed that the position was on hold. This has been disheartening, and I haven't had any interviews or calls from recruiters in the last four months. I'm reaching out for advice on what I might be doing wrong or how I should proceed from here.
