I've been on the job hunt for the past two months after losing my previous position. I have a Class B CDL and two years of safe driving experience with no at-fault accidents. Despite my qualifications, I've applied to over 20 different trucking jobs in my area, including positions that offer training for a Class A CDL. Unfortunately, I've faced constant rejections. Recently, I went through the entire application process with Pam Transport, completing a drug test and obtaining my DOT medical card, only to be informed at the last minute that their safety team declined my application. I've attended about 15 interviews, some requiring travel up to an hour away, and while I've progressed to the next steps in 12 of those interviews, none have resulted in a job offer. I'm feeling really frustrated and confused about my situation, as I've never encountered such difficulty in finding work before. I'm reaching out for advice or support as I navigate this challenging time.
