I recently had an internal job interview for a Quality Assurance role at my company, and it was a panel interview that took place two weeks ago. One of the managers has now scheduled an interview debrief with me, which is set to happen in about a week. I'm feeling uncertain about what this debrief means for my candidacy. I can't tell if I'm a runner-up or if the manager wants to discuss next steps with me. Since I actually work with this manager on shift, I'm contemplating whether I should ask him directly about the debrief before our meeting or if I should just wait and see what he says. I'm torn between wanting to know if the news is good or bad and being patient until the scheduled meeting.
