I'm currently working in a call center, but I'm planning to look for work from home jobs that don't require phone calls. After my maternity leave, I don't think I'll return because my job has changed significantly from what I was hired for two years ago. Initially, we had mandatory overtime, but now there's no overtime allowed at all. The company has also expanded to include divisions across the country, which has led to poor communication and a lack of training. My hours have been cut from about 45-50 hours a week to just 40 hours, which has drastically reduced my paycheck from around $1,000 to $780 after taxes and insurance. I'm 28, just had my third child, and I live in the Albany/Saratoga area of upstate NY. With daycare being so expensive, I really want to find a job that allows me to work from home without being on the phone. If anyone has suggestions for remote positions that fit this criteria, I would greatly appreciate it!
