I was recently laid off from my position due to outsourcing, and a recruiter reached out with a contract offer that is significantly lower than my previous salary. I'm feeling frustrated and undervalued, and I'm not sure how to approach negotiating this offer. Some people have suggested that I should just walk away, as it feels like the recruiter is taking advantage of my situation.
