  1. 1

I recently received a letter notifying me about my upcoming appeal hearing regarding my unemployment benefits, and I’m feeling quite anxious about it. I had to quit my previous job due to a hostile work environment that made me dread going in every day. I often felt nauseous and was constantly on edge, especially after being told to watch my back. There was even a grievance meeting where it was revealed that someone in the office was going to be fired, which only added to the tension. After leaving that job, I was hired at another practice in the same field, where I worked for about 2.5 months. However, communication from my manager dwindled after one of our doctors left unexpectedly, which left me in a confusing situation. I stopped receiving messages about my availability, and I felt uncertain about my position there. Now, as I prepare for the appeal, I’m wondering if I should gather any text messages from coworkers that might support my case. This is my first time going through this process, and I’m looking for any advice on how to best prepare for the hearing.
