I was let go from a startup just 1.5 months after I joined. I really put in my all and was excited about the opportunity, but it seems like they prioritize 'culture fit' over skills and experience. After reading some comments, it sounds like this isn't uncommon in the startup world. I’ve learned my lesson and I don’t think I’ll be pursuing another startup role anytime soon. It feels frustrating to have invested so much effort only to be dismissed so quickly. I’m trying to stay positive and remind myself that this isn’t a reflection of my abilities.
