I recently experienced a significant reduction in my work hours at my job in Illinois. I went from averaging 35 hours a week to just 15 hours, and I'm really worried that my hours might be cut even further. It seems like everyone at my workplace is facing similar issues. Our manager has been reducing hours across the board because another store in a nearby city closed for repairs, and their employees have come over to our store, which has made it even harder for us to keep our hours. I'm trying to figure out if I still qualify for unemployment benefits given this situation and what steps I need to take to file a claim.
