I recently received a job offer and accepted it, which has left me feeling both excited and anxious. The anticipated start date is in 25 days, and I need to relocate for the position. However, I learned that the offer acceptance is contingent on a background check, reference check, and pre-employment screening. They mentioned they have already contacted my references, and I’ve been honest on my resume, so I’m feeling hopeful. I’m just unsure if I can confidently tell people I have the job or if I should start planning my move. I’ve seen some advice suggesting to wait until the checks are confirmed in writing before making any big decisions, like signing a lease. I’m trying to use this time wisely to research potential areas to live, but the uncertainty is making it difficult to commit to anything. I just want to make sure I’m making the right choice.
