I recently received my final separation agreement after being laid off from my role at a tech company. I found out about the layoff back in January, and while I am grateful that my employer allowed me to stay on until recently, receiving this final notice has been really tough. It feels just as bad, if not worse, than the initial notice. I’ve been actively searching for a new job since then, participating in screenings and callbacks, but unfortunately, nothing significant has come through. Now, as we’re in October, I’m still unemployed, and it’s hard not to feel like a failure. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but the emotional toll is real. I’ve seen comments from others who have gone through similar experiences, and it helps to know I’m not alone in this struggle. The job market is challenging right now, and I’m trying to keep my chin up and stay motivated. I just hope that soon I’ll find the right opportunity.
