I had a first stage interview for a position about three weeks ago, and I felt it went really well. The interviewer gave all the right signals, and I was told I would hear back soon. After a week of silence, I reached out to my recruiter for an update. He reassured me that the interview went well and that I should expect news shortly. However, another two weeks have gone by, and I decided to follow up again because I am very interested in this role. The recruiter informed me that they are currently dealing with some internal processes that are taking longer than expected, but I should hear back soon. I'm starting to wonder if I should be concerned about the delay or if it's normal. Has anyone else experienced such a long wait after a first stage interview? Am I just being impatient?
