I have been working in the oil and gas industry for about 3.5 years, and recently I approached my manager about the possibility of being laid off. However, after our conversation, he didn't provide any updates or mention discussing it with HR. Tomorrow, I plan to speak with HR directly about this. I'm curious if anyone else has asked to be laid off, even though there haven't been any layoffs since March. In a recent department meeting, it was mentioned that employees could reach out to either their manager or HR representatives regarding this matter. I'm looking for insights or experiences from others who have gone through a similar situation.
