I recently interviewed for a position at a mid-sized firm that works on large international projects. During the interview, I asked if the role was for a specific project or part of a general staff expansion, and they confirmed it was for staff expansion. At the end of the interview, one of the interviewers mentioned they would have updates on the position in a few weeks. I also have another opportunity lined up at a smaller firm that I can start in a month. I'm unsure whether I should reach out to the larger firm in a week to express my interest and urgency or just wait for them to get back to me. I'm leaning towards being transparent about my timeline, as I don't want to miss out on either opportunity.
