I recently took a new job after spending the last eight months searching for a better opportunity. I had been at my previous job for three years, which I loved, but I realized I would never get a raise or promotion. I invested thousands in coaching to improve my interview skills and resume writing, and finally received an offer with a 30% salary increase. However, it was for a role that I was least excited about. Now, just three weeks into this new position, I'm already feeling it's a dead end. My boss is mean and creates a toxic environment, and while I make more money, every other aspect feels like a downgrade. I'm actively searching for new job postings on job boards and LinkedIn, but I'm not finding much in my field. I applied for one position that seemed perfect for me, but I was rejected, which left me feeling devastated. I'm questioning whether I should even include this new job on my resume while I continue to look for something better.

I'm currently in the job search phase after being laid off from my position as a marketing coordinator at a tech startup. I've been sending out applications regularly, but I'm feeling a bit lost on whether I should keep applying or take a short break to regroup. I want to stay motivated, but the process has been overwhelming. Any advice on how to stay focused and effective during this time would be greatly appreciated!
