I work as a packager at a lab, and things have been looking pretty bleak lately. For the past three weeks, we haven't had any products to package, which is unusual. There are only three of us packagers, and our two lab assistants haven't been around for almost a week. The assistant lab manager has been actively looking for other jobs, which raises some red flags. Our Sr. Extraction manager keeps saying he's trying to get us more work, but he claims that upper management didn't expect such a significant slowdown in sales, so we can't produce anything right now. Meanwhile, the other packager who was sent to our other facility in Coolidge has stopped going, and one has been calling off. I'm starting to wonder if this is just a slow period or if the lab is facing a potential shutdown.
