I'm currently exploring a job opportunity with Wipro for an Advanced Process Control Engineer position. The role is a contract position, estimated to last over 12 months, and is listed as Texas/Remote. I had an interview with their leadership team, where they mentioned that travel would be required approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks, typically for just a week at a time. Most travel would occur from Monday to Wednesday. However, I have some reservations about their travel estimates. In my previous role with a different company, travel was extensive, often lasting for weeks or even months. That position was full-time with a manufacturing company, unlike Wipro, which operates as a resourcing company. Wipro is based in India, but they do have locations in the Central Time zone. I'm feeling skeptical since I've never worked in a contract role before and haven't come across any reviews about Wipro on Glassdoor. I'm curious if anyone else has had experiences working with Wipro or in similar contract roles.
