Today, I was among the 4,000 employees laid off by Dell. The cuts primarily affected IT teams and software engineering departments, including the bios automation team. In Bangalore alone, around 130 people were let go. It's disheartening to see that despite the hard work and loyalty, the company made this decision without any prior announcement. I received a severance package that includes three months of pay for each year I worked at Dell. It’s a harsh reminder that in the corporate world, loyalty often takes a backseat to financial decisions. I'm now focusing on my next steps and hoping to find new opportunities soon.
