I’ve been on the job hunt for the past 12 weeks as an industrial sales rep, which is usually a stable field for me. Typically, I receive about two calls a week from headhunters, and when I interview with 2-5 companies, I usually end up with 2-3 offers. However, this time around, it's been an entirely different experience. I've had numerous interviews, even with C-suite executives, but each time I've faced rejection. It's been frustrating and confusing, as there are usually more job openings than candidates in my area of expertise. This has been the longest and most challenging search of my career.
