I'm currently weighing two job offers and feeling pretty torn about which direction to take. One offer is for a serving position where the manager claims I could make around $1000 in tips each week. It sounds appealing, but the catch is that it requires working 40 hours on weekends and evenings. The other offer is at a doctor's office, paying $18 an hour for 40 hours a week. While the pay isn’t as high, I see it as a stepping stone to gain valuable experience in the medical field, which could lead to better opportunities down the line. I've been wanting to leave the restaurant industry, but the thought of making significantly less money is daunting. I'm really struggling to decide what to prioritize: immediate financial gain or long-term career growth.
